What It Is.
An imprint of MCG. By combining our expertise in personal branding and reputation architecture with modern day mass distribution, we publish books that have traditional credibility without all of the fine print.
In plainer terms: Mashman Publishing is a DBA (a fictitious business name) of Mashman Consulting Group, not a separate legal entity, and not one of the standalone businesses under the MASHMAN umbrella. It is MCG operating under a different name for a specific purpose: giving the work MCG publishes its own dedicated identity, distinct from consulting engagements.
The imprint has no separate founding date of its own. It exists as long as MCG has needed a publishing identity, and its full legal form, used on copyright pages, contracts, and anywhere the distinction matters, is:
Mashman Publishing, a DBA of Mashman Consulting Group LLC.
A Book Is a Personal Brand You Can Hold.
Mashman Consulting Group builds personal brands with its Identity Positioning™ methodology, and Credibility is one of The Five Personal Brand Pillars it measures. Few assets build credibility the way a published book does: it is physical, it is permanent, and it can be bought by people the author will never meet.
MCG launched the imprint to make sure its clients get the best possible outcome, without being locked into intense contracts or giving up their rights and creative control. A built audience and a distributed book are two different disciplines that are stronger combined than either is alone. MCG brings the first. Mashman Publishing brings the second.
Why a book builds a personal brand sets out the case from the Manifesto, and the Publishing Glossary defines the terms an author meets along the way.
“Thinking that you can buy your way into a positive reputation is a fool’s way of thinking.”
Isaac Mashman, Personal Branding: A Manifesto on Fame & Influence, 5.3Three Tracks. One Discipline.
Mashman Publishing is not an open press. Every title it carries falls into one of three defined tracks, each held to the same editorial and design standard. Today the catalog holds Personal Branding: A Manifesto on Fame & Influence, now in its second edition, and Raw Cutlery, forthcoming.
House Authorship
Isaac Mashman's own work, beginning with Personal Branding: A Manifesto on Fame & Influence. The imprint's flagship, and the proof of the standard it holds every other title to.
Who: the house author
Circle Authorship
Titles from long-standing collaborators embedded in MCG's own work. Considered individually, on the same footing as any other track: not promised, not automatic.
Who: MCG's circle of collaborators
Client Imprints
For MCG clients with an established consulting relationship, a book on a case-by-case basis where the fit is right for both the author and the imprint, with MCG's help landing press for the title and leveraging it.
Who: MCG clients, through their consultant
Where the Imprint Sits.
MASHMAN is the name across the firms Isaac Mashman founded or runs. Mashman Publishing sits inside one of them.
Mashman Properties and Mashman Investments are separate firms. Mashman Publishing is not a rebrand of anything that came before it: the First Edition of the Manifesto was published in 2021 under Mashman Ventures, Isaac's prior firm, since dissolved.

Isaac Mashman.
Isaac Mashman is the founder of Mashman Consulting Group, a personal branding consultancy, and the author of Personal Branding: A Manifesto on Fame & Influence, now in its second edition and a #1 New Release in Public Relations on Amazon. Born in Jacksonville, Florida, and based in Little Rock, Arkansas, he also owns Mashman Properties and Mashman Investments.
The imprint publishes his work first, and holds every other title to the standard his own book set. His full record is on isaacmashman.com (opens in a new tab).

Questions and Answers.
There is no submission form, because there is no open call. If you are an MCG client and a book fits where your brand is headed, that conversation starts with your consultant.
Is Mashman Publishing a separate company?
No. Mashman Publishing is a DBA (a fictitious business name) of Mashman Consulting Group. It is MCG operating under a different name, to give the books it publishes their own dedicated identity.
Who owns Mashman Publishing?
Mashman Consulting Group, founded by Isaac Mashman (opens in a new tab) on July 18, 2024. The imprint is based in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Do you accept unsolicited manuscripts?
No. Mashman Publishing works exclusively with MCG's own author, with collaborators embedded in MCG's work, and with clients who have an existing MCG relationship.
Is every MCG client offered a book?
No. It is considered individually, where a book is genuinely the right vehicle for that client's brand and MCG's relationship with them supports publishing on their behalf.
How does distribution work?
Every title is built on the author's own organic reach first, then produced as the full suite of paperback, hardcover, ebook, and audiobook for standard trade distribution channels. See the 360 approach.
Where can I buy the book?
Paperback and hardcover through Amazon, Target, Walmart, Barnes & Noble, and Books-A-Million. Ebook through Kobo and Everand. Not every retailer carries every format; see the book's formats for which retailer stocks which format.
Who do I contact about rights or press?
Publisher and rights inquiries go directly to contact@mashmanpublishing.com (opens in a new tab). Press materials are in the Media Kit.
Every Title Begins the Same Way. With One Conversation.
