What Mashman Publishing Is.
8 questions.
What is Mashman Publishing?
An imprint of Mashman Consulting Group. By combining MCG's expertise in personal branding and reputation architecture with modern day mass distribution, it publishes books that have traditional credibility without all of the fine print.
Is Mashman Publishing a separate company?
No. Mashman Publishing is a DBA (a fictitious business name) of Mashman Consulting Group, not a separate legal entity. It is MCG operating under a different name, to give the books it publishes their own dedicated identity, distinct from consulting engagements.
What is the full legal name of the publisher?
Mashman Publishing, a DBA of Mashman Consulting Group LLC. That form is used on copyright pages, on contracts, and anywhere the distinction between the imprint and the publisher of record matters.
Who owns Mashman Publishing?
Mashman Consulting Group, the personal branding consultancy founded by Isaac Mashman. About and Structure shows where the imprint sits among the MASHMAN firms.
When was Mashman Publishing founded?
The imprint has no separate founding date of its own. It exists as MCG's publishing identity. Its first title under the name was the Second Edition of the Manifesto, published March 7, 2025, and mashmanpublishing.com launched on September 24, 2026.
Why does a personal branding consultancy publish books?
Because a book is a personal brand you can hold. Credibility is one of The Five Personal Brand Pillars that MCG measures, and few assets build it the way a published book does: it is physical, it is permanent, and it can be bought by people the author will never meet. A built audience and a distributed book are two different disciplines that are stronger combined than either is alone.
Is Mashman Publishing one of the MASHMAN companies?
It is one of four properties under the MASHMAN umbrella, alongside Mashman Consulting Group LLC, Mashman Properties LLC, and Mashman Investments LLC. Unlike the other three, it is not a standalone business: it is MCG publishing under another name.
Is Mashman Publishing the same as Mashman Ventures?
No. The First Edition of the Manifesto was published in 2021 under Mashman Ventures, Isaac Mashman's prior firm, since dissolved. Mashman Publishing is not a rebrand of anything that came before it.
The Catalog, Explained.
8 questions.
What books has Mashman Publishing published?
The flagship is Personal Branding: A Manifesto on Fame & Influence by Isaac Mashman, now in its Second Edition. Raw Cutlery: Perform at the Best Version of You by Isaac J. Hall is forthcoming. The catalog lists every confirmed title.
What is Personal Branding: A Manifesto on Fame and Influence?
Isaac Mashman's book and the imprint's flagship: the world's first Philosophy of Personal Branding. The Second Edition is a 376-page complete revision of the 2021 original, edited by Eric Chow and Michelle Fongeallaz, with a foreword by Eric Chow. The book page has the chapter list and specifications.
When was the Second Edition published?
March 7, 2025, by Mashman Publishing. The First Edition was published on November 1, 2021, under Mashman Ventures.
How has the Manifesto performed?
The Second Edition was a #1 New Release in Public Relations on Amazon, and both editions reached Amazon's Top 10 in Public Relations.
Who designed the Manifesto's cover?
Alexander Stephens created the cover art for the Second Edition, and for the forthcoming Raw Cutlery: Perform at the Best Version of You.
What is Raw Cutlery?
Raw Cutlery: Perform at the Best Version of You by Isaac J. Hall, a Marine veteran. It is the first title by an author other than Isaac Mashman. Its page carries the current release details.
Why does the catalog only list a few titles?
Mashman Publishing does not list a title until it is confirmed, and circle and client titles are considered individually rather than announced in advance. Every title is held to the same standard as the flagship, so the catalog grows deliberately.
Does Mashman Publishing publish books other than personal branding?
The imprint publishes the work MCG stands behind: Isaac Mashman's own books, titles from collaborators embedded in MCG's work, and books by MCG clients. Each is a book that builds its author's personal brand, whatever its subject.
How a Book Comes Here.
10 questions.
Can I submit a manuscript to Mashman Publishing?
No. Mashman Publishing is invitation-only. It does not accept unsolicited manuscripts or queries, and there is no submission form, because there is no open call.
Who does Mashman Publishing publish?
Three tracks. House Authorship is Isaac Mashman's own work. Circle Authorship is titles from long-standing collaborators embedded in MCG's own work, considered individually and never promised. Client Imprints are books for MCG clients with an established consulting relationship, on a case-by-case basis.
How does an MCG client publish a book with the imprint?
Through their consultant. Client Imprints have no separate application: the consulting relationship at MCG is the front door, and a client's MCG consultant brings the book to Mashman Publishing directly when the fit is right for both the author and the imprint. How MCG consultations work (opens in a new tab).
Is a book guaranteed for MCG clients?
No. A Client Imprint is considered case by case, where the fit is right for both the author and the imprint. The consulting relationship makes the conversation possible; it does not promise a book.
What does an author get from Mashman Publishing?
Editorial development and editing to the house standard; a cover and interior designed with Certified Partners of MCG; the full suite of formats, planned from the start; standard trade and retail distribution; and, for client imprints, MCG's help landing press for the title and leveraging it.
What will Mashman Publishing never do?
Run an open call or a submission queue, pass a manuscript that is not ready because of who wrote it, buy coverage rather than earn it, or leave a format for later because it was harder.
What is the process from manuscript to market?
Five stages, the same for every title: Manuscript (editorial development, line editing, copyediting, proofing), Design (cover and interior with Certified Partners of MCG), Production (print, ebook and audio files from one manuscript), Distribution (identifiers, metadata and trade channels), and Reach (the book fed back into the author's personal brand). Distribution walks through each one.
Who edits Mashman Publishing books?
Every title goes through developmental editing, line editing, copyediting, and proofing, supported by advanced editing tools, and is held to the same bar as the house's own title.
Who are the Certified Partners of MCG?
Professionals certified to work to the Mashman Consulting Group standard. Cover design, interior layout, and the other specialist work a book needs come from them.
Does Mashman Publishing help with press for a book?
For client imprints, yes. MCG works with imprint clients to land press for their title and teaches them how to properly leverage that body of work. Coverage is pursued organically: earned through the work, never bought.
Every Format. One Release.
6 questions.
What formats does Mashman Publishing produce?
Paperback, hardcover, ebook, and audiobook: the entire suite, planned together from the first page and produced from one manuscript, rather than one format at a time.
What is the 360 approach?
Every title is planned as the full suite of formats from the start, so a reader who listens, a reader who wants the hardcover on a shelf, and a reader who buys on a phone at midnight all find the same book in the format they actually use.
Is there an audiobook of the Manifesto?
It is in production. The paperback, hardcover, and ebook are available now.
Does Mashman Publishing use AI?
For production, yes, openly. AI narration and voice cloning expedite audiobook production, including narration in a voice modeled on the author's own, with the author's consent, and advanced editing tools support the human editing passes. The editorial bar does not move.
Who distributes Mashman Publishing books?
The imprint works through an ongoing relationship with the distributor behind Isaac Mashman's own book, so each new title and each new format reaches standard trade and retail channels without starting from zero.
Are Mashman Publishing books in bookstores?
They are distributed through standard trade and retail channels. The Manifesto's paperback is at Amazon, Target, Barnes & Noble, and Books-A-Million; the hardcover at Walmart, Barnes & Noble, and Books-A-Million; the ebook at Kobo and Everand. Any bookstore can order through the trade.
